Analysis of uneven powder application and problems encountered during spraying

In electrostatic spraying, the distance between the workpiece and the nozzle should be between 150-300mm. If the distance is too close, it is easy to short-circuit and cause breakdown points in the coating. If the distance is too far, it is difficult to apply powder. During the entire spraying process, the spray gun and the workpiece should always be kept vertical, otherwise it will cause waste of paint or form an "orange peel" phenomenon. At the same time, it is necessary to avoid the arc-shaped movement of the spray gun and keep the movement speed uniform, which will affect the final spraying effect. During the spray gun spraying process, the spray pattern may be uneven. There are two reasons for this:

1. The powder spraying pipe is worn;

2. The spray gun or powder tube is blocked. If the powder spray pipe is worn, we need to replace the powder spray pipe. If the powder pipe or spray gun is blocked, we must first disconnect the feed hose from the spray gun and purge the spray gun with an air spray gun. Then disconnect the hose from the spray gun and powder pump, and purge the hose. If the blockage is serious, the feed hose needs to be replaced. The powder pump also needs to be disassembled and cleaned, and replaced with a new spray gun assembly if necessary.
